One hour group sessions at Orangetheory Fitness are a blend of cardiovascular and strength training exercises, in which our trainers will lead you through intervals utilizing treadmills, indoor rowers, hand weights, and floor exercises to get you the results you desire. During your gym session, you will wear a heart-rate monitor that displays the data in real time on a video monitor in order to let your trainer know how you are doing and to keep you accountable in your workout as well. Our sessions have been designed to get your heart rate within a targeted zone, for when you are able to do so your metabolism is stimulated and energy is increased. This is what we like to call the Orange Effect -- increased energy and calorie burn for up to 36 hours after your initial workout!

Definitely craft beer! Living in Grand Rapids, Beer City USA it is tough not to love craft beer.
 
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE OTF EXERCISE?
That's tough because I like so many. I am going to have to say rowing, I didn't use to like it but over the years it has grown on me. Knowing that rowing uses 80% of the muscles in your body is pretty awesome, not many other exercises out there can hit that many muscle groups at one time.

HEART MONITORED TRAINING

 

Backed by the science of post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), our heart-rate monitored training is designed to keep heart rates in a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. Our clients burn an estimated 500 to 1000 calories per workout. We are 5 zone heart-rate interval training.

COACH SUPPORT

 

Working out in a group provides accountability and structure to help achieve fitness goals. You are more likely to get a great workout and better results from the well-rounded movements and pace direction you get in a group setting. The session motivates each other to pick up the pace and reach beyond plateaus. People who workout in groups stick to their goals more consistently than those that workout alone.
